On Tuesday, September 10 the Summerville Neighborhood Association board directors met to discuss several topics. These included the recent tour with board members and commissioners, an October neighborhood meeting open to members, recent aide from local police department, the 2019 Tour of Homes, and more.
Commissioners Mary Davis, Dennis Williams and John Clarke joined members of the board of directors of the Summerville Neighborhood Association on August 29th in touring selected sites in Summerville where we need the City’s help in beautifying our neighborhood.
On Tuesday, July 23 the Summerville Neighborhood Association board directors met to discuss several topics,. These included the 2019 Tour of Homes, crime prevention efforts, increasing membership, and meeting with our local commissioners.
It is time to revitalize our Association to help improve the appearance of our neighborhood, particularly public areas; monitor crime; and make this a welcoming place to new residents. We will continue to monitor and inform you about potential zoning and Historic Preservation Commission issues, but please remember that these matters are decided by the City, not the Association.

Headquarters will again be at The Appleby Library, 2260 Walton Way. We are very grateful to them for their continuing help and support.
Today, Summerville played host to residents and guests alike. With a dramatic variety of homes to showcase, from a 10,000 sqft. estate of governors and business tycoons to a 1,300 sqft Spanish revival craftsman, there was much to see!

City engineers are adding 72 light poles to a section of Walton Way in historic Summerville. The lights are part of the larger project called “Signal Modernization Walton Way” that is also replacing traffic signals and installing fiber optic connectivity along the section of road.
